By using Kolay, you agree to these Terms of Service. Please read them before signing up.
Kolay is a web application for learning languages (Turkish, English and Swedish, more coming), developed by Pietro Macorig and operated by Valter Macorig (VAT IT04987610286). The service includes: lessons structured by level (A1, A2, B1), flashcards with spaced repetition (SRS), reading texts, reference grammar, and an AI conversation feature (AI Tutor).
Access is public: anyone can create an account for free. The Free Plan includes unlimited lessons and flashcards; the paid Pro Plan unlocks reading texts, reference grammar, and a higher number of conversations with the AI tutor. Pricing and terms are published on the Pricing page. Valter Macorig reserves the right to change access terms at any time.
To access the service you need to create an account with a valid email address. You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for all activity carried out through your account. If you notice unauthorized access, contact hello@learnkolay.com immediately.
One account per person is allowed. Multiple accounts traceable to the same user may be suspended without notice.
The service is intended for users who are at least 14 years old. By registering, you declare that you meet this requirement. Otherwise, the account may be suspended and the data deleted.

Violating these rules may result in the suspension or deletion of your account.
The Free Plan requires no payment and does not expire. The Pro Plan is paid: €3.99 per month or €29.99 per year, VAT included. The prices in force are always those published on the Pricing page.
Payments are handled by Stripe. Card details are entered directly on Stripe's own pages: Kolay neither receives nor stores them.
The subscription renews automatically on expiry, monthly or yearly depending on the plan chosen, charged to the registered payment method, until cancelled.
Cancellation can be requested at any time. After cancellation no further renewal is charged, and Pro features remain available until the end of the period already paid for.
If a renewal payment fails, the account returns to the Free Plan. Progress and data are not deleted and remain accessible with Free Plan features.
Any price changes are communicated to users with an active subscription at least 15 days in advance and apply from the following renewal. Users who do not wish to accept them may cancel before the new price takes effect.
If you are a consumer resident in the European Union, you have the right to withdraw from the purchase of the Pro Plan within 14 days of the order date, without giving any reason and without penalty (Italian Legislative Decree 206/2005, Consumer Code).
To exercise this right, simply send a message to hello@learnkolay.com from the email address associated with the account, within the stated period. No particular formalities are required.
The refund is issued within 14 days of receiving the request, using the same payment method used for the purchase, unless otherwise agreed. If the service was used during the withdrawal period, an amount proportionate to the period actually used may be withheld.
After the 14 days, amounts already paid are not refundable, except in the case of service malfunctions attributable to the Data Controller. Cancelling a subscription remains possible at any time and takes effect from the following renewal, as stated in the previous section.
Kolay's educational content, vocabulary, lessons, exercises, reading texts, reference grammar, is original work by Pietro Macorig. Reproduction, distribution, or commercial reuse without written authorization is prohibited.
The application's source code is private and not available for use by third parties.
Your personal study data (progress, statistics, flashcards) remains your property.
Kolay is provided "as is", with no guarantee of continuity, error-free operation, or fitness for a particular purpose. Valter Macorig will do his best to keep the service available, but does not guarantee any minimum level of uptime.
Valter Macorig is not liable for service interruptions, data loss, or indirect or consequential damages arising from the use or inability to use Kolay. Users are encouraged to keep their own notes of their progress.
The service relies on third-party providers (Supabase, Vercel, Groq, Stripe, Resend, Formspree, OVH) for its technical operation. Using Kolay implies acceptance of their respective terms of use. For details on how personal data is handled, see the Privacy Policy.
Valter Macorig reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the service at any time, with or without notice, including permanently.
In case of material changes to these Terms, registered users will be notified by email at least 15 days in advance. Continued use of the service after the notification constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by writing to hello@learnkolay.com. Deletion will be completed within 30 days of the request. For details on data retention, see the Privacy Policy.
Valter Macorig reserves the right to suspend or delete accounts that violate these Terms, with notice where possible.
These Terms are governed by Italian law. Any dispute shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Court of Padua, Italy, unless mandatory consumer protection law provides otherwise (in which case the consumer's place of residence shall apply).
